This privacy policy describes how Restaurant Søtten processes personal data in connection with the use of the website and the completion of reservations.

Restaurant Søtten is the data controller for the processing of your personal data.

When you make a reservation, we process the following information:

  • Phone number
  • Reservation details (date, time, number of guests and any notes)

When you visit the website, technical information such as IP address and information about your use of the website may also be processed if you have consented to marketing cookies.

Personal data is processed for the purpose of:

  • administering and completing your reservation
  • contacting you regarding changes, cancellations or questions related to the reservation
  • ensuring the stable and secure operation of the website
  • analysing the use of the website and measuring the booking flow (only with consent)

The processing is based on the following legal grounds:

  • GDPR Article 6(1)(b) – processing necessary for the performance of a contract (reservation)
  • GDPR Article 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest in ensuring system stability and preventing misuse
  • GDPR Article 6(1)(a) – consent to the use of marketing cookies and related processing

5. Storage

Personal data is only stored for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing. Information related to reservations is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer necessary.

We use internal systems for handling reservations.

We may also use external partners for marketing and analytics who process information on our behalf.

If you consent to marketing cookies, we use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. In this connection, Meta may receive information about your use of the website.
